Small Business Saturday and Happy Birthday Gardner Festival

Wolfshager Hexenbrut Witch Dance Group of Central Massachusetts performed at the 2022 Small Business Saturday festival

Downtown shops, restaurants, local non-profits, food trucks, crafters, and other vendors display their merchandise in the streets. Roads are open only to pedestrians for the day. A variety of performances and demonstrations take place. This event is free and family-friendly. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Downtown Businesses and Street Vendors are Open
  • Peanut Butter Challenge to benefit the Gardner CAC. In honor of Gardner’s 239th Birthday, our goal is to collect 239 jars of peanut butter for the Food Pantry. Please bring your donations to the Gardner CAC booth on Main Street.
  • Chris Guerra is our DJ/MC for the day! Stop by his booth at Pleasant Plaza/25 Main Street. Check out his podcast, drone demonstration, and photo booth.
  • Touch a Truck on Parker Street includes trucks provided by Wood’s Ambulance, Gardner Fire Department, Gardner Police Department, Craig Starzinski Excavating, D. Rhodes Landscaping and Paving, and Wyson Trucking.
  • Dunk Tank at the Bank of America Parking Lot. Dunk one of our volunteers! Sponsored by Gardner Police Department.


  • Reptile Shows of New England at Orpheum Park on Parker Street.
  • Duck, Duck, Book, introduction to the Summer Reading Program by Levi Heywood Memorial Library, at the corner of Main and West Lynde Streets.  Join in the games and win prizes!

 Dance Performances at the Center

  • 10:15 Troupe Salaamati American-style belly dancing at the Center. Join in the fun! No experience is necessary.
  • 11:00 Mount Witchusett Witches performance sponsored by Witches Wardrobe
  • 11:30 Line Dancing Audience participation is encouraged. Join the fun!
