Shop Small in Downtown Gardner Every Weekend!

Every year, Gardner Square Two offers a number of holiday events to keep people shopping locally. The schedule for 2019 is below.

Saturday, November 30
Small Business Saturday

Stop in at local shops, say hello, and support your local businesses!
Visit the Square Two Welcome Tent at John’s Sport Shop, 38 Mains Street where guests are treated to coffee (provided by Square Two) and pastries (donated by Parker House of Pizza). The first 100 guests will receive a Goodie Bag with free gifts, coupons and ads. Pick up the list of events and entertainment that members are offering on Small Business Saturday.

Sunday, December 1
Holiday Stroll & Tree Lighting Ceremony

Noon-5:00 p.m.: Visit Downtown Shops and Restaurants. Shop, Eat,Sip and Support your Local Businesses!
2:00-4:00 p.m.: Naughty or Nice? Visit Santa & Mrs. Claus at John’s Sport Shop, 38 Main Street. Bring your camera!
4:30 p.m.: Holiday Stoll led by Gardner High School Band. Meet at City Hall and stroll to Lafayette Square for the Tree Lighting Ceremony and celebration of Memorial Lights. Enjoy Gardner Middle School Chorus performance and join the sing-along.

Donations of non-perishable food items for the Gardner CAC Food Pantry can be dropped off at The Velvet Goose or John’s Sport Shop.

Thursday, December 5 - 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Warm Clothing Drive and Holiday Reception at John’s

Get a Jump on your holiday shopping. Stop by John’s Sport Shop to enjoy a beverage, delicious hors d’oeuvres and sweet treats. Drop off new or slightly used jackets, snow pants, boots, socks, hats and mittens to help keep local school children (ages 4-10) warm this winter. Receive $10 “John’s Bucks”* when you donate a kid’s coat. Meet our guests Stephanie LeBlanc, Pampered Chef representative and Celeste Goguen, doTERRA representative.

*Redeemable toward purchases at John’s only.
